Hardware Lane - Top notch brunch in Pluit

Candied bacon french toast! That's what you should order if you are visiting this place. We are so in love with this menu when we recently visited Hardware Lane which has been known as one of the best place to have brunch and coffee in Pluit. We have been eyeing this place for a while and finally we are here!Yeay😆

This place has a very nice decoration, IMHO, dominated with blue colors. The lighting in this place is also very good. During the day there are a lot of sunshine coming through, making this place so perfect for you who like to take pictures. And to make it even more interesting, there are few instagenic spot in this place, like the side of the bar with the infamous "Admit it, you love me" words on the wall.

  

Moving on to the food and drinks, our orders were : 

1. Candied bacon french toast

This food is soo good! It contains toast with scrambled egg, candied bacon (can choose between pork or beef), watercress, maple syrup, and cheese sauce on top. The combination of the sweet maple syrup and other savory ingredients is surprisingly very good. Honestly I can eat two of this by myself; not because the portion is small, but because it just taste so good.

2. Hot latte (with Panama Geisha beans)

When you order coffee here you can choose between two available beans, and when I heard that one of the bean is Panama Geisha, I picked it right away (with an additional Rp 20.000). However when i taste it, somehow it just doesn't taste right. No sweetness, just bitter taste on the latte. I hope they do some fixing on their coffee, because there is no good brunch without good coffee, right?

3. Hello summer!

This drink is basically a watermelon juice with some added mint leaves and lemon blended with it. It tastes so refreshing!

After filling our tummy, we did some picture taking on some of the Instagenic spots. Here Ms. Button is wearing a very casual outfit because this place is offering a casual feel; just like having a brunch at home. 

All in all, Mr.Bacon's rating for this place is 4 out of 5 BACON which is BACONLY GOOD. Definitely we will come back here for more of  their awesome candied bacon french toast.
